Heavy Duty Alignment Technician (experienced)

The business specializes in alignments, steering, and wheel-end axle repairs through operating mobile service trucks (no emergency roadside).
Job Overview:
We are looking for a driven and friendly individual to join our team as a Mobile Technician who, with potential to move up in the company upon demonstrating success and cultural fit within their initial role. The right candidate will be comfortable interaction with professional fleet customers and prospects, and will have responsibility for operating a fully equipped truck to perform mobile services. Successful candidates will have several opportunities, including earning commissions/profit sharing, moving into bigger roles within the company, and/or earning sweat equity towards becoming a small business owner through future franchising or licensing agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a service truck performing heavy duty truck and trailer alignments and related repairs [training, truck, tools, PPE, and equipment provided].
- Perform jobs correctly while operating in a timely and efficient manner.
- Keep track of and maintain provided tools and equipment.
- Directly interact with customers in person and through various communication channels to provide them with quotes, assist in scheduling appointments, and help complete administrative tasks such as processing work orders and invoices for payment.
- When not fully booked with appointments, call on prospective fleet customers to help generate new business.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 18 months of heavy duty alignment & alignment-related repairs experience is required.
- A friendly and outgoing attitude is an absolute must.
- Willingness to learn be coached, help other team members, and contribute towards continuous improvement of operating procedures.
- Exhibit strong beliefs about the importance of reliability and showing up on time.
- Be comfortable working outdoors, even in less-than-ideal weather conditions.
- Ability to travel out of state for up to 2 weeks during initial training, and up to 4 weeks each year for training, meetings, and new territory openings.
- Be a minimum age of 21.
- Able to repeatedly bend, crouch, stoop, and lift at least 60 pounds unassisted and without pain or need for accommodations beyond those legally required.
- High school diploma or GED (at least some college or technical school a strong plus).
- Valid Louisiana drivers license with a clean driving record, meaning no major citations in the last 5 years, and absolutely no DUIs or DWIs.
- Minimal or no criminal record. Anyone with a record of fraud or theft need not apply.
- Must reside in the Greater New Orleans area.
- Ideal candidates will also meet the following criteria:
- Highly competitive & motivated by money
- Have a successful history of performing in team sports and/or other environments in which coachability, reliability, and high-performance matter
- Willing to perform hands-on work but interested in working their way up to a training, supervisory, or managerial position
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation:
- Starting hourly base wage of $20-25 per hour, commensurate with experience and job fit.
- Potential to earn performance-based commissions increasing On-Target Earnings (OTE) by as much as an additional $5 per hour.
- Overtime, when offered, is paid at time and a half.
- Periodic contests and spiffs.
- Potential opportunity to earn sweat equity over 2-3 years and grow into a business owner through a future franchise or licensing agreement.

Schedule:
- 8 to 9 hours shifts scheduled Monday – Friday 7a – 6p (some flexibility to accommodate the right candidate).
- Minimal night or weekend work and no 3rd shift work.
- Overtime after 40 hours and during nights (after 6p) and weekends
- No on-call schedule.
- No emergency roadside repairs.
